Procrastination can be defined as the act of delaying or postposing something.
Your brain is wired to protect you from danger and failure that is why you procrastinate.
The day I learnt and understood this was the day I kicked procrastination in the butt and moved.
Your brain is wired to protect you, and part of those protection is to protect you from unknown territories.
That is why each time you need to do a new thing you keep postponing it and procrastinating.
Your brain helps you delay the outcome of whatever new thing you want to do because it’s new and it has already believed that you will fail anyway.
As children of God we are not led by our feelings or fear, we are led by the word and promises of the Lord.
And part of those promises is that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Phillipians 4v13
Rather than cower in fear of failure or what people will say, move first.
Do it Afraid.
Fail forward.
That failure is a learning curve.
Don’t be ashamed of what people will say when you fail.
You are getting better at it.
Ditch procrastination today and begin to execute.
Be encouraged.
The Lord will help you in Jesus name.
