Are we then cursed?

I was gisting with brother Thunder, and I was trying to make him see reason on why he should stop maltreating his wife by turning her into a slave,  Brother Thunder charged up and told me blatantly that it is her sole responsibility to take care of the home, afterall he didn’t send her to be a woman. My mouth was wide agape and I had a very terrible sinking feeling at the pit of my stomach.  Is it now a curse to be a woman?

Honourable men, are you like bro thunder inside your home? You forbid a woman from getting a house help, not like house helps are easy to come by nowadays, machines and do it yourself are gradually replacing the role of a house help. House help na person pikin( house help are people’s children) if they can’t be adopted fully into the family I see no reason why they should be employed.  To be realistic can the average Nigerian family afford every household machine that can help madam ease her house chores? Ok, some men are of the believe that if I get her all the machines I don’t have to help out, wait sir, the machine has only solved the problem a bit, the work load is still much and brain tasking. She has to take good care of the kids so they don’t look like street urchins, she has to wake up very early each day to prep all the kids for school, prepare breakfast and lunch boxes for everyone including her husband if he’s keen on having a lunch box, in between this shes dashing up and down to attend to the kids and to ,make sure every one is in order,
